On Saturday, 12th September 2020, God blessed the St. Anthony of Padua Custody, Ghana with the ordination of three friars as priests and one as a deacon at the Sacred Heart Parish, Sunyani by Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, the Bishop of Sunyani Diocese. The Vicar Custos, Friar Eugene ANTWI BOASIAKO, presented the four friars to the Bishop for ordination.

The solemn and colourful celebration was graced by friars from all the five friaries in the Custdoy in addition to the many priests and religious, and lay faithful who were also present. The parents and some of the family members of the friars were also present.

The Bishop advised the brothers to always remember to teach the Gospel and serve God’s people in the Sacraments. He added that they are to fulfil their call without discrimination, in humility and in patience.

The newly ordained priests are Friars Bernard Atsu Nanewodo, Derrick Amenyo Bressey and Francis Atobrah Adusei-Poku. Friar Emmanuel Adjei Nsiah was ordained deacon. The Custody and the families of the ordained friars were grateful to God for the gifts of ordination.
