ANNUAL FRATERNITY GATHERING
On Thursday, 13th January, 2021, almost all Solemn Professed Friars of the St. Anthony of Padua Provincial Custody, Ghana, met in Sunyani for their annual fraternal gathering. The gathering was graced with the presence of the Assistant General for AFCOF, Friar Anthony Bezo Kutiero.
He encouraged the friars to continue with the spirit of togetherness and collaboration. He reminded them that in our efforts to minister to the people of God we do not forget our identity and charism as friars minor.
The Vicar Provincial Custos, Friar Eugene ANTWI BOASIAKO also thanked all the friars for their willingness to work together as brothers. He encouraged the friars to continue to exercise their gifts in the context of the Franciscan charism. The gathering began with Holy Mass in the morning after which friars shared various experiences in their friaries and apostolates. Friars participated in fun games and the day was climaxed with a tombola game and a meal.
On the eve of the fraternal gathering, 12th January, 2021, a memorial Mass was celebrated for Friar Giuliano Abram, Mr. Ahulo Quao (the brother of Friar Paul Koku Dogbe) and Madam Philomena Kwofie (the mother of Friar Leonard Cudjoe).
